Okay, so today completely and totally sucked (long story, but the short version is that people are bitchy). Anyway, it completely sucked until I got an email from the amazing snarry_games mods and found out that I am now a member of Team Phoenix!!! (Hence the icon).

Anyway, it is going to be SO much fun - we have so many amazing artists on our team (I am truly amazed - if I named the ones that inspired me the most I'd name the entire team!) and it's not just Team Phoenix - Team Dragon look completely amazing too. I am so incredibly excited for these games!!!

Anyone at all thinking about attending LeakyCon 2009?? I'm getting pretty desperate for something to go to, but I'm guessing it's not going to be exactly slash-centric, possibly not even slash-friendly, and I'm not totally thrilled about the location or the date...

God, I am so tempted to just organise one of my own - there are so many beautiful castles in Europe (Ashford Castle and Peckforton Castle are two that I've looked at online and fallen in love with), and I've got a list of possible activities/talks a mile long in my head.

Oh, the pain.

ETA: Oh, crap. My brain is working overtime on this whole conference thing. You could do it on All Hallow's Eve (Deathly Hallows, HAR HAR, geddit?) and it'd be wonderfully spooky. And a masquerade ball! And archery! And quidditch! And costumes! And if you wanted to have a first-aid place you could have someone dressed up like Madame Pomfrey!! And you could have a knowledge competition! I wonder what a good name would be for such a con...

(All of this is totally hypothetical, of course. Totally.)

I have to start posting here more often! I've posted so much on my LJ, but nothing here. It's a shame.

Jamie Oliver is on the television, and he's cooking something that actually looks really nice. Normally I just watch his show for his enthusiasm, but the food looks damn fine tonight.

I saw my cousin from England last night, after work. It was so fabulous to see her - I haven't talked to her face to face for years! I couldn't even make it to her wedding, and that was three years ago at least. She was a bit shocked at how different I looked, I think. After all, I do have a completely different hair colour. :)

I'm working again tomorrow and Saturday, but I have Sunday off in a rare miracle. I need to go Christmas shopping - I haven't bought anything!!

What's even more exciting- I'm actually going to Sectus! My first con! It's perfect timing, really- exactly when I wanted to start travelling!

I'm emerald_dragon8 on LJ, and nahimana on GJ, so some of you might recognise me from there. Otherwise, I've just friended you because I like your art/fic/whatever else it is you do. I'm not too scary!
